On Friday October 16, 2015 our heavenly father dispatched an angel to call one of his children, William W. "Billy" Jeter home. Billy was born to the late William Welford Sr. and Mary Bernice Jeter. At an early age
Billy joined First Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sparta, Virginia. He received his education in Caroline County Public Schools and graduated from Union High School in Bowling Green, Virginia
Billy was employed by the Lakin Electric Company for many years until his health failed him. He was a faithful and life time member of the Sparta Fire Department. Hunting, fishing and sitting at Sparta Fast Mart formerly known as Sparta Market was something Billy enjoyed and loved doing.

Billy was proceeded in death by his sister Louise Jeter and three brothers George, Kirk and Truett Jeter.

He leaves to cherish memories to his wife Bessie, devoted sisters; Mary "Bertha" Jeter, Gladys "Beck" Jeter, Daisy "Dee" Broaddus and Mary "Tiny" McPhail, one brother; Arthur Earl Jeter all of Sparta, Virginia, one sister-in-law Julia Jeter of Tappahannock, Virginia, long time friends; Bobby Lakin, Allen Brown, Theodore Marshall and Jimmy and Cassandra Chapman; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, October 23, and one prior to the service at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church 17065 Seals Road, Bowling Green, Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held at 11: a.m. Saturday October 24, at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
