Wendell Wilson Anderson was born July 3, 1940 in Spotsylvania, Virginia. He was the son of the late Noel Jordan Anderson and Mary Alice Johnson Anderson. He accepted Christ at an early age and later  became a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. He served as a trustee and later as chairman of the ministry.

He worked at the FMC plant in Fredericksburg, Virginia for numerous years. He later retired from Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia after twenty five years of service as a supervisor.

Wendell liked working on cars, fishing and good food. He loved being with his family talking and joking. He loved with a full heart the duties he had at church and his church family.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Orient L. Anderson (Kitty), Loris J. Anderson (Boy Loris) both of Spotsylvania County; one sister Ardene N.Wright (Dean) of Caroline County.

Wendell leaves cherished memories to one sister in law, Edith Anderson of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two nephews, Ricky N. Anderson (Alice) and Jeffery M. Wright both of Spotsylvania, Virginia; one niece, Annette Boulware (David) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four devoted friends, Sarah Leach, David Lee Coleman, Mildred and Herman Jackson and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousin and friends.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2133 Mount Olive Church Road, Beaverdam, Virginia 23015.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Anderson Family Cemetery .

A mask or face covering will be required.
