Wayne C Baylor Sr. made his way home on Friday, December 24, 2021. He finished his course  at his home in Richmond, Virginia.

Wayne was born on July 30, 1951, to the late Clifford Curtis Baylor and the late Elizabeth B. Baylor, and had one sibling, the late Audrey Maxine Baylor. He was educated in Caroline County public schools before attending Virginia State University. He held many jobs on the east coast, including a brief stint in the United States Army Reserve, and settled down in Richmond, Virginia with Melinda Duque Serafica.

In Richmond, he spent years working for Hauni of Richmond as an Electrical Designer, and in his later years, worked with special needs children at Dominion Youth Services. He was a lifelong musician, singing and playing in jazz and marching bands, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and a lover of old Western TV shows that he grew up with.

Wayne loved his family and leaves behind precious memories to a wife of over 35 years, Melinda Duque Serafica, his eldest son, Ysmael Wayne Serafica Baylor, a graduate of Hampton University with a degree in Computer Science and youngest son, Wayne Caldwell Serafica Baylor Jr., a graduate of Yale University, with a degree in East Asian Studies.

A walk through viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Homegoing services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the funeral home with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
