Obituary

Walton Childs, known to everyone as "June" was born on August 11, 1943 in Caroline County, son of the late Mary Elizabeth and Warrenton Childs, Sr. He attended Caroline County Schools. June started working from an early age. He drove dump trucks in his earlier years. He then went on to work for Caroline County Public Works where he retired as a truck driver due to health issues after 30 plus years. He missed working and returned to Caroline County Public Works as a part-time site attendant in Ladysmith. His co-workers were like a second family to him. June was a dedicated employee who did not want to miss work for any reason.
