Viola Grannage departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on October 26, 1932 to Sallie Tyler in Spotsylvania, Virginia where she accepted Christ at an early age.
She loved to sing and dance, she was always giggling and laughing. Viola could tell some stories.
Viola was preceded in death by her mother; Sallie W. Tyler; husband, Perry H. Grannage; maternal grandparents, Samuel Tyler, Sr. and Mary Williams Tyler; son in law, Charles O. Minor, Sr; grandsons, Charles Andre Minor and Daniel Lonell Minor.
She is survived by, her daughter; Doris J. Minor of Fredericksburg, Virginia; four granddaughters, Ramonda L. Coleman, (Rodney Carter) of Milford, Virginia, Thresa L. Johnson (Andre) of Hyattsville, Maryland, Latonya D. Oliver (Jason, Sr; of Chesterfield, Virginia, Sadarnie A. Coleman (James Collins) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; five grandsons; Robert H. Coleman, Jr. of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Charles O. Minor, Jr. of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Boyd A. Minor, Aaron L. Minor and Benjamin T. Minor all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; twenty one great grandsons and twelve great granddaughters; one great,great grandson and one great, great granddaughter and a host of other family and friends.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday September 5, 2020 at Mount Lawn Cemetery, 9327 Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
