Valerie Regina ( Sissy) Coleman, 55 was born August 7, 1962 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia to the late Charles Coleman and Bertha Delaney Randolph departed this life on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Washington, D.C.
Sissy was known for her smile and her comedic humor in any situation and people loved that about her the most. Anytime you saw her you knew to be prepared to have a good time.
She attended schools in Virginia and Washington, D.C. area. She held various jobs in customer service and retail.
At an early age she gave her life to Christ at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Sparta, Virginia.
Before relocating to Washington, D.C., she loved spending time with her grandchildren which was near and dear to her heart and soul.
She was predeceased in death by two brothers; Charles (Cannonball) Baylor and Larry Darnell Coleman.
Sissy is survived by four children; Quiyana Coleman and Quintay Coleman both of Richmond, Virginia, Qyneshier Coleman and Francheska Coleman of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Derrick and Aaron Coleman; two sisters, Lealia Coleman of Bowling Green, Virginia and Rashaan (Tasha) Randolph of Richmond, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Makylah Coleman, Omarion Coleman, Saaniyah Coleman all of Richmond, Virginia, Jayden Coleman, Angel Coleman, Quemon Coleman, Kemaiah Coleman all of Washington, D.C.; a devoted niece, Unique Coleman and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a loving companion for many years, Robert Foster.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the funeral home with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
