Thomas Wendell Wheeler, II, better known as "Tommy" entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
A sophomore at Caroline High School, Tommy was an excellent student, and was member of the Caroline High School JV Football team. Tommy was quiet and reserved, but once you became a friend to him, he was found to be faithful and uplifting. He was known to walk through the halls of Caroline High School encouraging his friends, laughing, joking and giving high fives.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted parents, Thomas and Janifer Wheeler; loving sister, Janay; devited grandparents, Christine Lena Sims. Gerald and Joyce Carter, Pauline Wheeler; devoted uncle Donnell (LaQuan) Sims, Victor (Tiffany) Daniels, Gerald Carter, Jr., O'Neal Wheeler, Jai (Tasha) Moody, Rufus Moody; aunts, Shannon (Calvin) Thomas, Katrina, Aronna and Angela Wheeler; godmother, Shirley Weatherspoon and a host of great aunts, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 18, at Jericho Baptist Church, 8435 Jericho Road, Ruther Glen, Virginia 22546 and one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, at Jericho Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Claiborne delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
