Thomas Raymond "Peter Mouse" Jeter, 67, passed suddenly on Monday, November 7, 2011 at his residence. Thomas was the son of the late Thomas and Laura Jeter of Caroline County, Virginia.

He is survived by four children Thomas Jeter, Jr. (Sandy), Lisa Fortune (Robert), David Jeter (Michelle) and Vivian Jeter and their mother Barbara Ann Jeter; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Inez Adams, one brother, Clarence A. (Billy) Jeter, Sr., one sister in law, Geneva Jeter, one brother in law, Lester Johnson, Sr.; three kids that he treated as his own, Bruce, Lori, and Jimmy Fortune; special friends, Charles Harris, Mark Loving, Walter Rock, Nancy Rankin, Polly and Darnell Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmo Jeter (Toodie) and Robert Jeter, Sr. (Tucker) and one sister, Ann Johnson (Bug).

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, from 12 Noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Saturday.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Saturday, November 12 at the funeral home with Rev. William Gibson delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Ware Family Cemetery.
