Terry LaVelle Childs, 59 of Ashland, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at MCV/VCU Medical Center. He was born in Caroline County, Virginia on October 22, 1962 to the late James Raymond Childs, Sr. and Eva Louise Childs.

He graduated from Caroline High School,  then  went to the Marine Corps Reserves. He accepted Christ at an early age.

Terry was preceded in death by three brothers; James Raymond Childs, Jr; Alan Lee Childs and Dwayne Weldon Childs and two uncles; Albert Childs, Jr and Tony Childs.

He leaves to cherish his memory, four sisters; Marilyn V. Massey of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Sharon L. James, Richmond, Virginia, Tangee A. Childs and Daphne V. Childs both of Ashland, Virginia; two brothers in law, Terrence James and John Massey; three aunts, Debra Childs of Caroline County, Virginia, Bonnie Washington, Fredericksburg, Virginia and Sandra Deyo, Richmond, Virginia; two uncles, Avery Childs and Eric Childs; two nieces, Ashley Samuel and Torri Childs; two nephews, Derrick Gahagan, Jr. and Christopher Childs; close friend, Tyrone Burley and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 26, 2021 at Caroline Community Services Building, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514. Interment will be private.

Due to COVID-19 a mask or face covering will be required.
