Sylvester Nathanial Brown departed this life suddenly on March 20, 2018. Sylvester was better know to his family and friends as "Big Shot or Shot".

He was the second child of the late Liza and Rev. Nathanial Brown. "Big Shot" was formally educated in the Caroline County School System. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church.  On October 14, 1966 Sylvester was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, the former Delores Ann Coleman.  To this union six children were born. Sylvester was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved his Family.

Sylvester was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. He was employed as a Supervisor for the Century Construction Company.  He retired from Century after 30 years of dedicated service.  After his retirement , Big Shot decided that he just could not keep still because he had even more to offer the workforce.  In 2004, he started a second career at the Caroline County Department of Public Works.  His job title was "Community Service Center Attendant".  Sylvester was a dedicated employee at the Center for 14 years.  He loved going to work and they loved having him there and they have made it abundantly clear that his presence will truly be missed.

The love of his life, his wife Delores Ann Brown and one son, Tony R. Brown preceded him in death.  He leaves to cherish and "Honor" his memory, four daughters; Marlette Hale (Thomas), Darlene Morris ( Anthony), Sharon Morris (Marvin); Darcell Brown; and one son, Sylvester Brown Jr.; Thirteen grandchildren; Anthony Morris , Jr., Claudell Fells, Jr., Austin Morris , Thomas Hale, Jr., Andrew Morris, Marvin Morris, Jr., Marcus Hale,
Saniya Brown, Jarvar Brown, Jr., Jacell Brown, Jamar Brown, Janell Brown, Jory Brown; Six sisters; Geneva Green, Ilene Brown, Urcell Coleman (Phillip), Vurnia Fountain (Eddie), Verlaine Jackson and Sandra Brown; One devoted Brother Virgil Brown (Geneva); Two sister-in-laws; Earline Chandler (Mike) and Arnita Booker; Three devoted nephews Kevin Brown, David Green and Nelson Green; One devoted niece Alicia White-Foxx; One devoted friend, John Murray whom he called "Big John", and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3.00 P.M on Sunday March 25th, 2018 at the Caroline Community Services Center. 17202 Richmond Turnpike Milford, Virginia. 22514
