At 2:55 am, on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, the Lord saw Sheila getting tired, and He whispered "Come to me." Her golden heart stopped beating, for man's cure was not to be.

Sheila, age 57, took her last breath at Inova Fairfax Hospital, after a month on life support. An unexpected incident, during a seemingly harmless visit to provide treatment to improve her heart, ended her precious life.

While Sheila was born and raised in Washington, DC, she considered Bowling Green, VA...where she spent her childhood summers in merriment with her maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins...home.

She was still working full time at General Dynamics, where she was the hub and glue of the office. Her many co-workers, former and present, fondly remember the impact Sheila had on their professional and, more importantly, personal lives. She was a member of their families, too.

As the matriarch of her maternal first cousins, Sheila was the common denominator who encouraged the unity of the Beasley/Coleman clan in Caroline County, VA. She was the sole genealogist who independently reconnected generations of family members who were once strangers to one another and without knowledge of the deep roots to their family history.

She leaves her son, Danilo (Champree), granddaughter, Kamiyah, father and mother, Charles Ray and Doris Virginia, sister, Monica (Victor), nephew, Dominique, niece, Paige, godson, Donte, aunts, uncles, 26 first cousins, a host of other biological and work family members, and friends, to cherish memories of her on this earthly realm.

The family is hosting a viewing from 4 pm - 8 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home at 16467 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, VA 22427.

The family welcomes you to the Celebration of Life service at 11 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Jerusalem Baptist Church at 21180 Bagby Road, Sparta, VA 22552, with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment follows at the church cemetery, prior to the repast in the church.
