Selestine Everetta Allen Jeter, 53, formerly of King George, Virginia, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in Dumfries, Virginia.

Selestine Everetta Allen Jeter was born November 3, 1959, in King George County Virginia to the Late Bernard D. Allen and Flossie C. Allen.

Selestine accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Salem Baptist Church at an early age.

She received her education in the King George County public school system. After reaching adulthood, she left King George and moved to Amelia, Virginia where she resided for several years and then later moved to Washington, DC. She returned to her hometown to reside in 2006.

Selestine received her nursing certificate and was employed as a Nurse's Aide taking care of the elderly in nursing homes for many years. She served as an usher and a missionary and was an active member of the Women of Salem's Decorating Committee until she became too ill to perform her duties.

Selestine had a few favorite past times. She loved to shop for shoes. DSW was her favorite place to go. She also loved watching the golden girls on television and calling up her niece discussing the latest episodes. Selestine had a serious passion for food! She loved eating crabs during the summer with her sisters, and loved to participate in different functions at church and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two loving sons, Antoine Jeter (Abby) of Dumfries, Virginia and Jason Jeter (Sheena) of Riverdale, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Rochelle, Caitlin, MacKenzie, Bryce, Tatum, Jason Jr, and Jamere; five dear sisters, Debra Allen, of Washington DC, Micki Allen,Peggy Allen, Pamela Allen and Carrie Rich, all of King George Virginia; two brothers, Howard Allen, of Rappahannock Academy Virginia and Earl Allen of Dillwyn, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, 12262 Salem Church Road, King George, Virginia 22485.

A Celebration of Life will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, March 6, at Salem Baptist Church, King George, Virginia, with the Rev. Leonard G. Bland, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
