Sarah Chambers Monroe, 90, departed this life on the morning of April 11, 2025 at the home of her son, Ronald Monroe, in Fredericksburg.  She was an upright, elegant lady with a patrician aura. She was indifferent to her beauty but very much in harmony with her intelligence and energy. Her honesty and sense of humor reflected in her cadence speech which kept her approachable and a loyal, loving friend. Her mantra for life, "One person can open a door, it's up to you to pass through".

Her son, Ronald, will receive friends at his home in Pelhams Crossing on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 5- 7 PM.  A memorial service will be held at Williams Chapel AME Church, Orangeburg SC, Monday, April, 21, 2025, 11:00 AM.  Inurnment of Ashes, Belleville Memorial Gardens, Orangeburg, SC.
