Sandra E. Washington of Ruther Glen, Virginia departed this life on February 26th, 2025, at the age of 64.  She was born to the late Robert N. Washington and the late Annie J. Washington on October 28th, 1960.
She was employed as a teacher, by the Fredericksburg City Public School System. She was dedicated to educating her students and making sure they would be successful after graduating.

Sandra was an avid reader, also enjoyed baking and cooking meals for the family.
Sandra leaves cherished memories to two brothers, Anthony Washington, and Dennis T. Washington and three sisters, Lisa C. Holmes, Cathy L. Washington, and Charlene Washington, a devoted aunt, Frances Brown, and a devoted uncle, Richard R. Pierce, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.  She also was preceded in death by two aunts; Neressia Eades, and Lucille Griggs, four uncles; Robert Pierce, William Pierce, Thomas Pierce, and Lacy Pierce.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.
