Sam "Bo" Lewis, 69, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at his home in Bowling Green, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Lee Lewis; daughters, Debbie Evans(John) of Milford, VA and Sherry Cook (Monroe) of Fredericksburg, VA; sons, Sam Lewis of Ashland, VA and David Lewis of Bowling Green, VA; two grandchildren, Shabazz Carter of Fredericksburg, VA and Sammie S. Lewis of Bowling Green, VA; four brothers and four sisters all of Altavista, VA and the Roanoke, VA area; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail, Shumansville, VA with the Rev. Donald Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, VA and on Saturday one hour before the service at the Church.
