Sallie Fleming, 99, of Bowling Green, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Bowling Green Healthcare Center in Bowling Green.

She was born March 15, 1910, in Woodford, Virginia, to the late Charlie and Lucy Wright Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jackie F. Taylor of Bowling Green; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one devoted daughter-in-law, Jackie P. Fleming; one devoted niece, Laurel "BB" Harris; two devoted great nieces, Rose Peyton and Kathy Harris; one nephew whom she helped raised and a host of other relatives and friends. Sallie was preceded in death by her huband, James E. Fleming; one son, Charles Fleming; one daughter, Lorraine Banks; and two grandsons, James and Charles Banks.

Visitation will be Friday, May 29, from noon to 8 p.m at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., Bowling Green and one hour before service at the church on Saturday.

A celebration of her life will be Saturday, May 30, at noon, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bowling Green with the Rev. Dr. S. W. Kendell delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
