Obituary

Sadie Mae Williams, 92, of Fredericksburg, Virginia entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Spotsylvania County, Virginia to the late Arthur and Annie Lou French.

Receiving her education in the Fredericksburg Public Schools, she was employed at the Colonial and Payne's Motels for over forty ears. She took her work very seriously and often took other family members to help.

Sadie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site) where she was a faithful member of the Pastor's Aide and Twilight Missionary Circle.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Steve, Arthur, Clarence, Harold, Andrew, Chancellor, and George; and three sisters: Beatrice, Lucy, and Annabelle.

Sadie is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Virginia Redd and her son-in-law, James, with whom she made her home with for the past seven years; her brother: Frederick French, Sr., one god-granddaughter, Angela Brown Coleman and her husband, Greg; two god great grandchildren, Darrian and Aleyah, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site),525 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 where funeral services will also be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2014 with Pastor, Rev. Anthony A. Parrish officiating.

Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Hartwood, Virginia.
