Ryland E. Hale, 94, of Ruther Glen, Va. entered into eternal rest on January 29th at the Bowling Green Health Center after five years of illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomii Hale. He is survived by three sons: Marvin Lee Hale, Wayne Roger Johnson, and Timothy Johnson (Gay); a god-daughter, Cassandra Scott; one god-son, Lawrence Jarvis and Rev. Walter T. Young who cared for him at his home for five years.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3207 Quarter Hill Road, Supply, Virginia 22436, with Rev. Irving L. Woolfolk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home.
