Roxanne (Roxie) Vera Graves, 59, daughter, sister, friend and child of God was born November 26, 1955 to Mary V. and the Late John L. Graves of Woodford, VA.

She peacefully departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.

Roxanne attended and graduated from Union High School in 1972. Roxanne joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, VA at an early age under the leadership of the late Dr. S. H. Carter. She was not a member of any specific ministry, but had them all at heart, attending services whenever she could and maintained her membership until death. Roxanne was a loving mother, grandmother and a Daddy's Girl.

While living in Baltimore she worked at the wee known Racquet Club before earning her certification as a trained dental Technician and working for some years. Upon returning home she worked at Mary Washington Hospital.

Roxie, as she was affectionately called, leaves to cherish her memories; her mother, Mary V. Graves of Woodford, VA,; three sons, Shawn Graves (Beverly) of Center Cross, VA, Clarence and Brandon Davis of Fredericksburg, VA,; two grandchildren, Fantasia and Markuis Lucas; four brothers, John Graves of Fredericksburg, VA, Ward and Danny Graves of Woodford, VA and James Graves (Kathie) of Petersburg, VA; Paternal Grandmother, Annie Graves of Baltimore, MD; three aunts, Carrie Baker and Lessie Reynolds both of Woodford, VA and Helen Reynolds of Fredericksburg, VA; three uncles, Aubrey Reynolds (Gloria) of Woodford, VA, Charles Reynolds of Maryland, and Anthony Graves of Baltimore, MD; three best friends, Shelia Foster, Dorothy Parker, and Tangelene Brown, all of Fredericksburg, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 12 Noon to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 7 - 8 PM at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, VA 22427

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4700 Massaponax Church Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408

Burial/Interment will be in the Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, VA
