On December 31, 2023, Ross Edwards Jackson, Jr. of Woodford, Virginia departed this life. Ross was born on May 22, 1970, to Ross Jackson, Sr. and the late Patricia Ann Jackson. He was affectionately known to many as "Buster".

Ross, Jr. accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Grove Baptist Church by Reverend S. H. Carter, former Pastor. As a child he sang in the Junior Choir, served on the Junior Usher Board, and participated in Sunday School. He also enjoyed fellowshipping with his mother and grandmother at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. In his later years he also enjoyed attending church with his father at Miracle Faith Ministries with Dr. Angelo Logan as Pastor.

In 1988, Ross, Jr. graduated from James Monroe High School, Fredericksburg, Virginia. That fall he enrolled in Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia. He loved drag racing and mechanic work and later decided to turn those hobbies into his life profession. He was also an accomplished artist.

Ross, Jr. and Regina Wright's children, Raiquan and Diamonia love their parents immensely. Their farther passed many of his skills down to the children.

In 2019, Ross, Jr. suffered a stroke from which he never fully recovered. Prior to his death he spent his time helping others in the community when called upon. He was determined never to give up.

He was preceded in death by his adoring mother, Patricia Jackson Lawson and grandmother, Annie Ruth Howard Lewis,

Ross, Jr. is survived by his devoted father; Ross E. Jackson, Sr; children, Raiquan Jackson and Diamonia Jackson; granddaughter, Madison C. Jackson; sisters, Roslyn Jackson and Virginia A. Lawson; niece Lyric A. Thomas; cousin and special friend Carleen Silver and a host of uncles, aunts, and other cousins and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Caroline Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be Thursday, January 11, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mt Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia 22580
