Robert Irving Harrison, 60, of Bowling Green, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA.
Robert was born on July 12,1955 in Amityville Long Island, New York to the late William George and Irene Alzena Harrison
Brooklyn, New York was where Robert was raised and attended school. He obtained a job at the neighborhood pharmacy and worked there for thirteen years serving the community.
During April of 1993 Robert relocated to Bowling Green, Virginia with his sister Gayvell and his mother.
Robert was such a talented man which he had many passions, a few of them being fixing electronics,drawing pictures and the love of cooking . His favorite food to cook was fried chicken and barbecue ribs.If you would ask Robert how did you prepare this he would simply reply and say "none of your business" and then he would laugh.
Robert would help his sister Gayvell give out food to people in need at the food pantry as well as deliver food to the elderly that could not get out and about. Robert will be forever loved and missed dearly by all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents William G. and Irene A., two brothers; Sam and William Edwards and a sister Sharon Edwards.
He is survived by two sisters Gayvell Edwards of Bowling Green, Virginia and Shirley Edwards of Brooklyn, New York, one aunt; Minnie of Brooklyn, New York, 9 nephews, 3 nieces, 11 great nephews, 14 great nieces, 4 great great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from Noon to 8 pm Saturday, August 29 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia
The funeral will be held at Noon on Sunday, August 30 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
