Rickie D. Irick, 59 was born on January 30, 1962 at St. Phillips Hospital in Richmond, Virginia to parents Evendel Irick and  Lillie Pauline Irick Minor.

On Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 8:45 p.m., God peacefully transitioned Rickie after a brief illness, from labor to reward at Parham Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Rickie was preceded in death by his mother Pauline Irick Minor; his grandparents, Elijah, Sr. and Lucinda Upshaw;  his uncle and aunt, Elijah, Jr and Inez Upshaw.

Rickie was raised in Caroline County in the St. James community. He received his education in the Caroline County Public School system.

At an early age he joined and was baptized in St. James Baptist Church.

Rickie leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving and devoted sister and brother in law, Joyce and Leon Roy; his godmother, Kate Samuels; cousin , Angie Waller; godsister Shirley Coleman and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service.

Interment will be private.
