Nora Maxine Davis, 56, departed this life on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her home in Newtown, Virginia.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her mother, Emily Banks; husband, Charles E. Davis; one son, William Darnell Wright (Felisia); one step-son, Charles E. Davis, Jr. (Tammy); three sisters, Joyce Peavy (Grady), Fannie and Ginger Weeden (Charles); one brother, William Robinson (Linda); four grandchildren, one devoted, DeAndra and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, George (Richard) Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, at St. James Baptist Church, 19514 Sparta Road, Milford, Virginia 22514. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
