Nettie Mae Holmes' Obituary
Deaconess Nettie Mae Holmes, 89, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at her home in Aylett, Virginia.
She is survived by three daughters, Margaret H. Robinson (Fred) and Elsie M. Washington both of Aylett, Virginia and Denise H. Robinson of Richmond, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Holmes.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 18, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Monday at the church.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 19, at Providence Baptist Church, 4570 Dorrell Road, Aylett, Virginia 23009, with Rev. Evans C. White, Jr. delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
