McKinley W. Frye, , of Spotsylvania, Virginia transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the age of 63.

McKinley was raised and educated in Spotsylvania, Virginia and the  joined the Army in 1974. He joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia and was baptized at an early age.

McKinley loved bowling, horseshoes, and shooting pool. He also loved telling jokes and thought he was funny enough to paid as a comedian.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Frye, Sr. and Marybell C. Frye; one sister, Mary Elaine Gatling; one brother in law, Alton Williams; two sisters in law Margaret Frye and LaVerne Frye.

McKinley is survived by his two children, Christopher D. (Grace) Frye and Jessica L. Frye of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four grandchildren, Stella M. Frye, Cayden J. Warren, Lucas C. and Gemma J. Frye all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; nine siblings; Charlie Frye of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Milton Frye, Jr. of Stafford, Virginia, Mary Frye Williams of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Shirley (Douglas) Hill, Donald (Centra) Williams, Paula (Alvin) Brown, Sheila (Roland) Wallace, all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, John (Tawana) Frye, Sr. of Caroline County, Virginia and Arthur (Crystal) Frye of Capital Heights, Maryland; one aunt Eloise Frye of Bowling Green, Virginia; one brother in law, Otis Gatling, of Spotsylvania, Virginia; a very devoted friend, Pat Johnson of Ferris, Texas; a loving and devoted niece, Timika Williams of Severn, Maryland and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held  at 12 noon on  Saturday, February 9, 2019 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with a viewing two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be private.
