Mary Ann Baylor Levere, 71, of King and Queen County, Virginia, entered eternal rest on December 26, 2025. Born on March 9, 1954, to the late Georgia and Richard Baylor, she grew uprooted in family, faith, and a quiet strength that would define her entire life.

Mary Ann was a devoted wife to Robert Levere, whom she married on December 31, 1997. She was the loving mother of Alicia Logan and Ashley Davis. After her mother's passing, she helped raise her sister, Karen Baylor, as her own. Through her marriage to Robert, she also embraced Tabitha McDowell as her daughter.

She was the proud grandmother of Aaron Smith, Shane Davis, Aliyah Davis, Boyd Baylor, Kaitlyn Baylor, Kayla Chu, Tavien Veney, Alexis Yerby, and Amari Yerby, and great-grandmother to Sianni Santiago, Genesis Chu, Zoe Brown, and Bryson, Nolan, and Skylar Veney. She is also survived by her brothers Richard Baylor Jr. and Phillip Baylor and preceded in death by her brother Chris Baylor. She also leaves behind uncles Frank Newbill and Earl Newbill, Aunt Mary Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that have cherished memories.

She nurtured many meaningful relationships over the years, among them her special bonds with Yvette Fields, Johnny Newbill (cousin), Robert Baylor (brother-in-law) and Catherine Ransome.

Mary Ann lived a life of service and dedication. She was baptized at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member and volunteered on the scholarship committee. She worked in the King and Queen County School System before joining the Virginia Department of Social Services, retiring after 33.5 years of committed service. She also served as secretary for the King and Queen County Electoral Board and General Registrar and was a trusted Notary Public.

After retirement, Mary Ann found joy in DIY projects, gardening, and sewing. She was well known for the cakes she lovingly made for family and friends. She also took great pride in her koi pond, a peaceful space she cultivated with care.

Above all, Mary Ann cherished her family — especially her grandchildren. Her life was a story of devotion: to her faith, her family, and her community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 7820 Newtown Rd, Newtown, Virginia 23126 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
