Mary M. Coleman, 71, of Caroline County, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her daughter's home in Henrico, Virginia. "Maggie" as she was fondly known, was born and raised in Nelson County, Virginia, to the late Donald Hudson and Mary Ellen Hudson. She was joined in holy matrimony in 1963 to Garland Waburn Coleman, who preceded her in death. From this union, they were blessed with three children.

She leaves cherished memories to three loving children: Reverend Chandler Coleman (Charita) of Bowie, Maryland, Waverly Coleman (Sebrena) of Dallas, Texas and Melanie Dunton (Mike D.) of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Chandler Coleman, II, Shamika Ford, Waverly Coleman, Jr., Shannon Ford, Savian Coleman, and a host of other grandchildren; stepchildren, Carolyn Jones, Kevin Coleman, Cynthia Graham and a host of other stepchildren; two very special cousins, Helen Ann Penn and Larry Dolsey; one son-in-law, Mike D.; three daughters-in-law, Charita Coleman, Sebrena Coleman and Barbara Coleman; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; three devoted friends, Jacquelyn Golden, Yvonne Smith and Thomas Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Friday, May 24, at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the funeral at the church on Saturday.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, at St. John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580, with Rev. Dr. W. G. Berryman, Pastor, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
