Marion Thelma Henderson, 92, of Bowling Green, Va, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2026. Born on February 8th, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alberta Taylor and the oldest of eleven.

She married the late Jesse C. Henderson, building a life centered around travel, love, family and home. To this union two daughters were born: Bridgett D. Carey (Bryan) and Jessica C. O'Neal (John).

"Nana", as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, loved reading, cooking, baking and gardening. She was a person of strong will and quiet strength and grace.  But her soft spot in her heart was spending cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They could do no wrong.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Bridgett, Jessica and Beverly. Her grandchildren Sonya, Marquita (Frank), Michael, Taylor, Brandon, Sean and Juan. Her sisters, Florence Tate and Linda Taylor and her brother Richard Taylor (Pam).  Along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church, 103 Ennis Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery on Wrightsville Road, Bowling Green, Virginia, 22427.
