Marie E. Foxx,96 was born on April 17, 1927, in Caroline County, Virginia to the late Wilbur and Annie Childs. After several years of illness Marie departed this life on February 15, 2024, at Yama Services Adult Assisted Living facility in Hanover County VA.

Marie was married to the late Willis C. Foxx and from this union a son, Delbert, was born.

Marie accepted Christ at an early age and was a current member of Jericho Baptist Church located in Ruther Glen, VA. Additionally she maintained a strong relationship with her original home church, St. John Baptist Church located in Milford, VA until her death. She was devoted to her church and served as president of the Missionary Ministry and coordinated/participated in numerous other church activities.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Willis C. Foxx.  Marie was a loving and caring wife, mother and friend.

Marie leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and Rosalind Foxx; two granddaughters, Kellie Proffitt and Kristin Foxx; four great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to recognize some special people in Marie's life for their support, friendship and kindness: Wayne & Shirley Childs, JoAnn Childs, Roscoe & Mary Childs, Jeanetta Lee, Tracy Carter, JoAnn Boxley-May, Helen Thomas, Brenda Carter and Derrick "Rick" Simms.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22nd at 11 AM at Jericho Baptist Church, 8435 Jericho Rd, Ruther Glen, VA 22546 in Ruther Glen, VA.   Remains can be viewed at the church prior to services from 10 AM to 11 AM.
