Margie Marie Lewis Moore, 74 entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Caroline County on August 13, 1944 to Margaret M. Lewis and the late Edward Godfrey Lewis, Sr. She attended Caroline County public schools . She  joined Saint Luke Baptist Church at an early age. Marie was employed by Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation center as a CNA for many years. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Earl Moore.

Besides her father and husband, two sisters preceded her in death, Evelyn Moore and Myrtle Thomas and a sister in law, Christine Jefferson.

Marie is survived by her five children; Connie Houchens of Richmond, Virginia, Kevin Moore (Diane) of Ashland, Virginia, Gloria Mallory (Johnnie),  of Bowling Green, Virginia, Jackie Moore of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Felicia Moore (Clarence) of Louisa, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; devoted mother, Margaret M. Lewis of Ruther Glen, Virginia; four sisters, Doris Lewis, Vernell Lewis, Adell Green all of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Minister Ellie L. Brown of Reedville, Virginia; one brother, Salim Shabazz of Sterling, Virginia; three brothers in law, Phillip Brown, Ronald Thomas and Fleetwood Moore; six sisters in law, Zaharah Ghanim-Shabazz, Sandy Hunt, Mary Washington, Evelyn Scott, and Annie Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends among them  four devoted friends, Diane Stevens, Lucille Martin, Margie Bundy and Mae Marshall.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Reverend Christopher Stevens will be delivering the eulogy.
