Margaret Carolyn Coleman 52, departed this life on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her residence in Caroline County, Virginia. She was born to the late Charlie Pernel Smith and Mary Alice Smith.
She was educated in the Stafford County Public Schools and graduated from Stafford Senior High School in 1984.
Margaret accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Second New Hope Baptist Church. She joined the youth choir at an early age. She had attended church faithfully.
Margaret worked for Geico for 18 years until her health failed and she then retired early. She loved her family especially her two girls that was so dear to her, it wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them, they where her heart. Margaret was ecstatic about her first grandchild because Margaret had so much love for her children, she could not wait to spoil her first.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Coleman, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters; Ashley Coleman and Candice Coleman-Smith (Barry) both of Caroline County; five sisters, Loretta Coleman (Robert) of Spotsylvania, VA, MaryAnn Ferguson of Orange, VA, Earline Jackson (Claude) of Culpeper, VA, Theresa Smith of Caroline County VA, Inez Walton (David) of Capital Heights, Maryland, two brothers, Thomas Smith of Lynchburg, VA, Walter Smith (Mayella) of Stafford, VA; mother-in-law, Helen Coleman; several aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Homegoing Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May, 13, 2017 at Second New Hope Baptist Church, 3836 Summit Crossing Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22408 with a viewing two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
