Major "Boway" Wright, Jr., passed away unexpectant at the age of 57, on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was a construction worker, long-time employee of Dulles Airport and a jack of all trades until his health failed.

Major became a member of Beulah Baptist Church at a young age and graduated from Caroline High School where he met his high school sweetheart. He had a strong love for building and racing cars and motorcycles. He was a loving father, provider, grandfather and husband, who strived to take care of his family and home. Major was a fearless man who made it his mission to live life to the fullest. Some of his favorite hobbies involved motorcycles, bicycles, fishing, spending quality time with family and recently, skydiving.

Major was preceeded in death by his parents Major Wright Sr, and Daisy Wright; his sister Cynthia Nelson and nephew Andre Nelson.

His life will forever be cherished by his wife Sharon; two sons, Brandon and Kyl; four grandchildren, Mya, Mia, Major and Makai; brother Timothy Wright; three nephews TeSean and Timothy Mines and Travis Nelson. In addition, he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Caregiver, Bertha Mae Simms and honorary mother, Sadie Armstead.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, Virginia ,22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in H&L Brown Family Cemetery in Cedon, VA.
