Ms. Mable Mills Ellis, daughter of the late Mattie Wingfield Mills and Willie Norman Mills, was born on June 14,1948 in Richmond, Va. She is also preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Monica Mills. Ms. Mable peacefully departed her life to be with the Lord on April 16,2018 in her home. She had been a loving, generous, and passionate homemaker whom was admired by everyone she knew.

Ms. Mable attended school in Balty, Va. She accepted Christ and joined St. John Baptist Church in Milford, Va. at an early age. She later moved to Fredericksburg, Va. where she joined the First Baptist Church of Love under the leadership of Rev. Richard Green. She then joined the Missionary Committee and became a faithful member for many years, testifying about the goodness of the Lord and all that he had done for her.

Ms. Mable enjoyed singing, doing hair, and playing bingo, watching soaps/game shows and playing cards with her grandchildren until her health began to fail.  She never minded helping others if she could.  She will be missed as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Ms. Mable is survived by her son, Preston Mills, Jr.(Donna) of Greenville, Va.; daughter Catherine Myers (Ronald) of Spotsylvania, Va.; two sisters, Vera Mills of Partlow, Va. and Lucille Chamberlain of Spotsylvania, Va.; two sisters-in-laws, Edith Mills and Sarah Mills both of Fredericksburg, Va.; one aunt, Ada Harris of Shumansville, Va.; nine devoted grandchildren, Ashley, Clarence, Brittany, Brandon, (Ashley B), Derico, Jacobi, Tieasha, Jamil, and Brandi Mills all of Fredericksburg, Va.; one extended family member, Kelly Saunders of Fredericksburg, Va.; one loving friend Maurice Canada of Stafford, Va.; and a host of special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Love , 124 Bend Farm Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408 with a viewing one  hour prior to the service. Reverend Hashmel Turner, Jr. will be delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private.
