Lucy H. Gordon was born March 21, 1938, to the late Garland and Catherine Gordon in Caroline County, Virginia. She departed this earthy life on March ll, 2015.

Lucy was educated in the Caroline County School system, graduating from Union High School in Bowling Green, Virginia. She worked for the Caroline Cleaners in Bowling Green for more than 40 years.

She accepted Christ at an early age, joining Shiloh Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and served as an usher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a devoted friend Floyd Golden; two brothers, Cornelius "Jack" Gordon and James "Bill" Gordon and one sister, Ann Gordon.

She leaves cherished memories to two sons, Victor A. Gordon of Largo, Maryland and Garland E. Gordon (Barbet) of Woodbridge, Virginia; two sisters, Mattie Gordon and Shirley Price both of Bowling Green, Virginia; two brothers, Jimmie Gordon of Phoenix, Arizona and Charlie Gordon (Helen) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; five grandchildren, Brenton Gordon, Deon Bryant, Stephanie Gordon, Erica and Erin Toran; three great grandchildren, Deon "Ty" Bryant, Taylor and Talia Jameson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other precious relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 20, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia and one hour before the service on Saturday.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 127 S. Main Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427. Interment will follow at Mt. Lawn Cemetery in Woodford.
