Lucille Samuel Johnson, 67, of Milford, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009. Lucille entered eternal rest at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Oliver C. Johnson, Sr.; two sons, Oliver C. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Mary, Stacy D. Johnson and his fiancee, Megan; five grandchildren, LaTasha, Lakisha, Oliver, III, Shamequa, and Mia; one god daughter, Tameka; her father, James Samuel, stepmother, Sallie Samuel, 6 sisters, 7 brothers, 12 sisters-in-law, 8 brothers-in-law, 6 aunts, 1 great aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice V. Samuel, her daughter, Tammy Johnson and a brother, James E. Samuel.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.

Homegoing services will be held at noon on Saturday, October 31, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail, Shumansville, VA 22550, with the Rev. Charles F. Baugham delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
