Louise T. Galloway, daughter of the late John and Angie Thornton and the wife of the late Clyde C. Galloway, Sr. was called to Glory on September 15, 2019 at the Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

She graduated from Armstrong High School in Richmond, Virginia and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Louise dedicated her life to raising her three children and lived her 97 years in service of caring for her children and grandchildren. Louise was known for her quick wit, comedic spirit and lighthearted laughter. She loved keeping in touch with old friends, listening to gospel hymns and sitting in her favorite recliner.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Clyde C. Galloways, Jr. (Lona), Daphne Galloway Jones (Clarence) and Welford C. Galloway (Carolyn); two sisters in law, Madge Beverly and Gladys Galloway; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Mount Salem Baptist Church 16170 Moores Mill Road, Ruther Glen, Virginia 22546

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
