Obituary

A beautiful soul gained her heavenly crown and went home to glory. On May 18, 2026, God reached down, whispered and said, "it's time to come home and rest".  Louise passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side.

Louise Freeman better known as "Buddin" was born on September 24, 1944 to the late Amos and Isabelle Washington in Caroline County, Virginia. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Salem Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful and devoted member throughout her life.

Louise was educated in the Caroline County Public School system and graduated from Bowling Green Senior High School in 1963. She married the love of her life Willie Freeman and was joined in holy matrimony on February 20, 1965. Lousie was employed at Keller's Industries, Milford, VA for a number of years, later to work at Old Dominion Window and Doors, Ashland, VA until she retired.

Louise was a humble, loving, and kind woman whose quiet spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was one of the gentlest people you could ever meet, always carrying herself with warmth and grace. Louise deeply cherished her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with them, creating memories filled with love and togetherness. Her caring heart and peaceful presence will be dearly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Louise was preceded in death by her brothers Lloyd (Teene) Washington, James Walter Lee, Edward Washington, Sr. and sister Rhoda Washington. She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted husband Willie Freeman of 61 years; son Rodney Freeman; daughters Tonya Howard (William Sr.) and Sonya Edmonds of Ruther Glen, VA; grandchildren Garry Edmonds, Jr., Lauren Jernigan (Darius), William Howard, Jr., Quincy Freeman; five great grand kids; brothers Jimmie Washington (Emily), Charlie Washington; bonus daughter Pam Berry (George); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; devoted cousin Arethia Jackson "PeeWee".
