Louis Thomas Washington Jackson, Jr., son of the late Reverend Louis T. W. Jackson and Deaconess Victoria Elizabeth Jackson, was born on June 30, 1952, in Caroline County, Virginia. Louis slipped into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his family residence in Woodford, Virginia.

Louis was affectionately known as "Tommy," "TJ" and "Jackson." Tommy loved fishing, basketball, shooting pool, restoring his boat, and spending time with his family.

Tommy was baptized at Long Branch Baptist Church in Woodford, Virginia at an early age. He attended Caroline County Schools and graduated from Bowling Green Senior High School. While attending school, Tommy was well-known for his skills on the basketball court. After graduation, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Tommy later moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where he met and married the love of his life, Maureen Tobin Jackson. They were blessed with two children. He was employed and retired from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Maureen T. Jackson, and his parents, Reverend Louis T. W. Jackson and Deaconess Victoria Elizabeth Jackson.

Tommy leaves to cherish his memories a son, Adam Jackson of St. Petersburg, Florida; one daughter, Tamara Gilbert (AK) of Gainesville, Florida, two sisters; Charlyne J. Bryant of Woodford, Virginia and Eva Williams of Norfolk, Virginia, one brother; Roderick "Rocky" Jackson (Raynell) of Hustle, Virginia; four aunts, Joyce Watson, Dorothy Jackson, Essie Williams and Rebecca Brown; one uncle, Theodore Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM  on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia
