Lloyd Franklin Scott, 72, of Woodford, Virginia, went from labor to reward early Monday morning, December 8, 2014 at his home in Woodford, Virginia.
Lloyd was a hard worker all of his life. He worked for D. A. Foster Company for over 30 years, working his way up to Superintendent.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother, Zeddie Bell Jones, his father, Lloyd F. Scott, Sr., sister, Jean Wright Brown and daughter Shannel M. Lee.
He leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life for over 38 years, his wife, Sandra L. Scott; daughters, Sheila Scott of Conyers, Georgia and Angela Scott of Oxon Hill, Maryland; sons James Scott of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Lloyd A. Scott of Doswell, Virginia; three loving sisters, Ophelia "Fefe" Scott, Louise "Lulu" Brown and Bernett Williams (Nettie Pie); his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Childs; two sisters-in-law, Brenda and Ernestine Childs; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special cousin Patricia Robinson, whom he thought of as a sister; buddies Leo Washington, Mickey Banks and Chuck Brown.
Viewing will be from 12 Noon to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, Virginia with Rev. Ovander Kay delivering the eulogy.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
