Kevin Daniel Monroe was born to Shirley and the late Robert "Cadillac" Monroe, Sr. on March 30, 1965 in Richmond, VA. He departed this life on September 29, 2019 at MCV hospital surrounded by his loving family.

At the age of nine he was baptized at St. John Baptist Church where he became a faithful member and attended Sunday school, bible study and Sunday service regularly. He received his education in the Caroline County Public School System.

During his life, he held several different jobs including working at Keller Industries, Decorite, Caroline County School and Direct Line.

He met the love of his life, Cheryl Mae Johnson as a teenager and they were high school sweethearts until they were united in holy matrimony in April of 1992. This union was blessed with two children. He devoted his life to loving his wife and children.

He was an avid football fan and devoted Washington Redskins supporter which was evident in his vast collection of memorabilia. He was a member of several different truck clubs and won numerous trophies. He took great pride in the upkeep of his yard and could often be found cutting and trimming his grass.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Cadillac" Monroe, Sr.

He leaves cherished and fond memories to his wife, Cheryl Monroe, his children, Jasmine and Aaron; his mother, Shirley Monroe; his siblings, Robert Jr. (Julia), Richard (Tiffany), Mark and Tangela; a devoted nephew Tony Barner; a best friend who was like a brother, Wayne Childs; brothers-in-law John, James, Rickie, and Joseph Johnson; sisters-in-law, Lois Barbee, Carolyn Dodson, and Brenda Clayborne; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc; 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Saint John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery
