Kevin Miller was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 14, 1975 to Arnetta V. Miller, a single mother who succumbed to her illness and passed away three years later. It was his mother's wish that Thomas and Jenet Baylor adopt Kevin adding him to their loving family. He became the only boy amongst his five Virginia sisters and his two sisters in Philadelphia. After the loss of Kevin's adopted mother and father he continued his growing years under the loving grace and protection of his maternal grandmother Rose Arnetta Jones and his beloved Brenda Carter whom Kevin lovingly called Mom.

Kevin attended the public schools of Caroline County participating in the Caroline Drug Free Program and the Leadership Club. He was the recipient of the James Farmer Scholar and was an honor student. He was baptized and attended Jericho Baptist Church. Kevin was an active member singing on the choir and participating in the many youth programs. He would later join Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Kevin moved to Georgia finding employment with Veolia Water Plant and the City of Atlanta Water Plant. Kevin made a mark in this industry rising in the ranks to supervisor and later becoming the "face" on the cover page of the Treatment Plant Operator trade magazine. Kevin pursued higher education and received his Associate Degree from Western International University.

Kevin life was filled with purpose and passion. Whether it was running a marathon, boxing, or taking quick drives to visit family and friends. He was known for his meticulous fashion and took pride in dressing appropriately at all functions and events. He was a sneaker connoisseur and loved his Kool-Aid… ahem that was his car's name. Kevin loved his music especially GoGo and some Chuck Brown. He attended many concerts of various artists and loved getting an opportunity to go out.

Kevin was a devote Christian who was family oriented and driven. He was actively involved in his sisters' lives and all of his nieces and nephews. Kevin would attend just about every event from graduations to birthdays. He encouraged his nieces and nephews to strive for excellence in education. His nickname of Qwik was fitting as he could be in Virginia or Philadelphia quickly for a one-day event just to get back on the road to Georgia. There had to be a really good reason for Kevin not to make it to an event because for him, family was important at all times. He could be found texting, talking, or doing social media everyday in keeping in contact with family, particularly his sister Cina (Thomasina), as they were two peas in the pod being the babies of the family.

Kevin found happiness and life with Theresa Poole who became his beloved friend, his cherished partner, and the woman he felt his heart belonged to. Theresa and her daughter Kynnedi became Kevin's world and later he and Theresa would welcome Zion to complete their family circle. Kevin was very devoted to his two princesses Kynnedi and Zion ensuring they would want for nothing. Kevin felt being a father was God's gift and he achieved and received that from his two daughters in the love and time-shared together.

On March 20, 2015, Kevin was taken home to heaven where so many familiar faces have been waiting for his arrival. Though we all wished for him to stay, we celebrate his life and legacy knowing each of us have been touched by a truly remarkable, loving, and memorable man. He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved Brenda who will always be known as his Momma; his soul mate and partner Theresa Poole, his daughters Zion Cherie Miller and Kynnedi Fowler; his six sisters: Verna William, Shirley Daniel (Robert), Velma Hatcher (Charles), Sherry Garrison (Steven a.k.a Big Brother Almighty), Jacklyn Miller, Marion (Vicki) Baylor, and Thomasina (Cina) Baylor; his aunt Cheryl Shannon the last of his birth mother's siblings; a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on: Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. , Jerusalem Baptist Church, 16210 Short Cut Road, Doswell, Va. 23047
Interment will be in the Jericho Baptist Church Cemetery, 8435 Jericho Road, Ruther Glen, Va. 22546

On Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. a memorial service will be held at Berean Christian Church, 2201 Young Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30088. A second memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the residence of Steven and Sherry Garrison located at 2719 Meyer Place, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19114
