Kevin departed this life at 7:36 a.m., Monday, June 20,2016 at his residence. He was born on November 21, 1964 to the union of the late Raymond and Mary Reynolds Fortune.

Kevin was a lifelong resident of Caroline County. He attended Caroline County public schools and graduated from Caroline High School in 1983. Kevin served in the United States Army Reserve National Guard from 1983 to 1987.After which, he worked for Williamsburg Mill Work Cooperation, in Dawn, Virginia until his health began to fail him.

At an early age Kevin accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Saint James Baptist Church in Milford, Virginia. Later in life believing that Jesus Christ our Lord was his Savior he confessed and rededicated his life to God.

Kevin was a devoted son, brother, and a loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his friends or on a pond fishing.

Kevin is survived by his loving son, D'Marcus and daughter-in-law Carlyn Fortune. D'Marcus is now serving in the United States Air Force and is beng deployed to Ramstein, Germany. Seven siblings; Barbara F. Callands (Rodney) of Farmville, Virginia,Raymond Fortune, Jr. of Alexandra, Virginia, Estell Rodriquez (Dan) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Larry Fortune (Regina) of Stafford, Virginia, David Fortune (Debbie) of Locust Grove,Virginia, Bruce Fortune, Ruther Glen, Virginia and Troy Fortune (Lisa) of McKinney, Texas; aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and devoted friends.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
