Kenneth Wayne Baylor entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his residence in Bowling Green, Virginia. He was born September 24, 1943 to the late Ernest S. Baylor, Sr. and Molly L. Baylor Jenkins of Caroline County.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted goddaughter, Ellen N. Miles-Simms, two great-great nieces, Jasmine A. Thomas-Miles and Ashlee A. Simms and Noah A. Simms who was "the apple of his eye"; three brothers, Ernest E. Baylor, Jr (Shirley), Gene A. Baylor (Victoria) and William B. Jenkins; four sisters, Addis Cox (Allie), Frances Samuel (John), Virginia Person (Marion) and Dorothy Collins; sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Baylor of Pennsylvania and Priscilla Baylor of Temple Hill. Maryland; one uncle, Nathaniel Foster and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Baylor and Eugie L. Baylor; two sisters, Mildred A. Totten and Betty B. Johnson.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 and one hour before the service on Saturday.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21 at Beth'el Baptist Church, 103 Ennis Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with Rev. Kevin Childs delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private.
