Katharina Beverly, 55 of Fredericksburg, Virginia peacefully passed away while in hospice care at Mary Washington on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from kidney failure .
Katharina, affectionately known as "Trina" was born in Delmenhorst, Germany on November 11, 1962. She graduated from Robert Bosch Gesamtschule in Hildesheim, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Helga Schedler.
Trina met her husband Franklin Beverly while he was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army. They were married on march 25, 1981 in Denmark. After his tour was over they moved to Washington, D.C; then they moved to Bowling Green, Virginia and finally settled in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
She was employed for many years as a security guard in Washing, D.C. She also worked many years at Keller industries in Milford, Virginia and Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation center in Bowling Green, Virginia .
Trina loved making things and giving them away for gifts. She donated blankets, hats and scarves to hospital, friends and relatives especially during Christmas time. She had a spirit of giving. Trina loved going fishing, going to the beach and feeding her many animal friends. You've probably seen her in Fredericksburg Central Park sitting on the bench feeding the geese.
Trina leaves cherished memories to her devoted husband; Franklin Beverly, Sr.; a son Franklin Beverly, Jr. step daughter, Taeshae Robinson; two grandchildren; Taeshawn and Tiara Robinson of Clayton, North Carolina; grandmother, Hildegard Schedler of Germany; two aunts; Monika Reisser and Irmgard Page of Germany; five sisters-in-laws, Shirley Beverly of Glen Burnie , Maryland, Susan Miles (James) of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Betty Beverly of Suitland, Maryland, Kathryn Gee of Temple Hills Maryland and Joann Brinkley (John) of Washington, D.C.; her best friends, Monica Thomas of Stafford, Virginia, Jackie Ford of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Vernell Greene of Bowling Green, Virginia; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives from Germany and the United States.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427
Interment will be private.
