Karen Renee Coleman, 48, of Newtown, Virginia entered into eternal peace on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, Va.

Renee grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. She moved to Sparta in 2007, where she lived until she departed this life to be with the Lord.

Renee is survived by her daughter, Kimberli N. Coleman, two sons, Alan Michael and Stephen Goldberg and her parents, Frank C. and Dorothy Lindsey Coleman of Sparta; grandmother, Mary E. Lindsey of Bowling Green, Virginia, and a host of other relatives and friends. Renee was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy F. Coleman.

The family will receive friends at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home on Friday, May 13 from noon to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 21180 Bagby Road, Sparta, Virginia 22552.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, at the Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
