Juliet Vivian Childs Freeman, 73, also called "Ju Ju" of Milford, Virginia entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. She was born to the late Julian and Bertie Childs.
Juliet accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. James Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member, active in the Mass Choir, Sanctuary Choir and Women's Club.
She received her education in Caroline County Public Schools. Juliet later moved to Newport News, Virginia, where she birthed her only daughter. Later returning to her hometown of Milford, Virginia to be near her family. Then gaining employment at Keller Industries and Russell Stover's.
She married the love of her life, Wesley Freeman, Jr. thirty-two years ago on May 23, 1986.
Juliet loved listening to music, dancing and having her friends and family come and sit around her dinning room table for a laugh, after she called you a "no good for nothing", which meant she liked you.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and five brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Tia Nicole Jackson of Temple Hills, Maryland; husband, Wesley Freeman, Jr.; brother John Childs ( Deborah) of Bowling Green, Virginia; four grandchildren, Tehya Prichett, Tia-Gira Prichett, Girbrelle Prichett and Girard Prichette all of Temples Hills, Maryland; five in-laws, Marlene (Kevin), Penny (Henry), Karen (Vernon), Kenny (Stephanie) and Janette; longtime family friend, Patricia "Dee Dee" Young,; neighbor "Poon" and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4pm - 8pm at St. James Baptist Church, 19514 Sparta Rd., Milford, Va. 22514.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 2pm, at St. James Baptist Church, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Bruce Burton, Pastor, will be delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
