Obituary

Julian Linwood Monroe, 77, of Caroline County, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Bowling Green Health & Rehabitation Center.

He was the son of the late Leroy and Rosa Lee Monroe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Maloy.

Linwood was educated in the Caroline County, Virginia public schools. He worked at Fort A. P. Hill until his illness. He had also worked as a security guard for a number of years.

To cherish his precious memories, he leaves three brothers: Eddie Monroe, Leroy Monroe (Ethel)and Walter Monroe (Judy) all of Ruther Glen, Virginia; one aunt, Ann Smith of Ruther Glen, Virginia; sister in law:
Sally Ann Monroe; brother-in-law: Melvin Maloy; devoted nieces, nephews and great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will held from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 on Friday, September 6, 2013 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with Rev. Dr. W. G. Berryman, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be private.
