Obituary

Juanita Virginia Noel, 83, of Woodford, Virginia, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Carriage Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Juanita was born in Spotsylvania, Virginia to the late Lewis Ball and Frances Coghill.

Affectionately named "Boot" by her late Uncle William (Tom) Coghill and late grandmother, Katherine Coghill, Juanita accepted Christ at an early age and joined Long Branch Baptist Church where she was a faithful and diligent servant of the Lord. After graduation from John J. Wright High School in Spotsylvania, Virginia, she furthered her education in Nursing at Virginia Union University. Shortly after leavng Virginia Union University, Juanita married the love of her life, the late Edmond Noel, Sr. on November 27, 1954. From this union, they were blessed with three sons, Edmond Noel, Jr., Lewis (Phil) Noel, Sr. and Dr. William (Will) Noel, Sr. As a devoted wife and mother, she taught her sons to love the Lord, family and others. While rearing her family, she served her community as a teacher in both, Caroline County and City of Fredericksburg Public Schools.

She worked faithfully in her ministries until her health no longer allowed. With honor and pride, she served unconditionally in many ministries at Long Branch Baptist Church. Those roles included Superintendent of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, Deaconess, Missionary in the Missionary Ministry and hostess on the Hospitality Committee. As a trained pianist, Juanita was the head of the Music Ministry which she inaugurated the first Men's Chorus at Long Branch Baptist Church. Knowing that cleanliness is next to Godliness, Juanita along with her devoted friend in Christ, Elizabeth Jackson, served as the Church Sexton for many years (as they fussed along the way). Serving in the community was equally as important to Juanita as she was a Life Member of the Mattaponi Baptist Association as a long-time Registrar.

Juanita Virginia Coghill Noel leaves to inherit her legacy of faith, servitude and precious memory to her three sons, Edmond (VyCurtis) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Lewis (Janice) of Spotsylvania, Virginia and William (Alison) of Glen Allen, Virginia; seven grandchildren, James (JT), Shawn, Adriane, Lewis (PJ), Christopher, Micah and William, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Ayana and Jamari; one sister-in-law, Ellen Noel; two brothers-in-law, William H Noel (Ann) and John Vann Noel (Gloria); one devoted cousin Frederick Cole; devoted friends, Elizabeth Jackson, Leila Jackson, Carlene Randle and Gloria Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
