Joseph D. Robinson, 57, of Aylett, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Louise V. Simms Robinson; two sons, Jason Cheeks of Washington, DC and Tyrone Noon and his wife Michelle of Middletown, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Malik and Tiana; two sisters, Virginia R. Williams of Aylett, Virginia and Jessie Robinson Brown of Middletown, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Fred Robinson, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Aylett and John L. Robinson and his wife Annie of Essex County, Virginia; 8 nieces, 5 nephews and a host of other relatives.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., Bowling Green, Virginia, and one hour before service at the church on Monday.

The funeral service will be Monday, March 16, at 1 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, Aylett, Virginia, with the Rev. Evans C. White, Jr. delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
