Johnnie B. Prince ( known as Johnnie B. to her southern family ) was born on July 5, 1931, in Eastman, Georgia to the late Johnnie Prince and Mattie Meredith Prince. She was raised and attended school in Eastman, Georgia. Johnnie accepted Christ at an early age.
In the early 1960s, Johnnie moved to Canton, Ohio. She later moved to Detriot, Michigan to be near her older sister, Luereatha. Johnnie worked as a domestic housekeeper for many years and was known to be a hard worker and devoted mother to her only son, Rodney.
Johnnie transition this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by Johnnie Prince (father), Mattie Meredith Prince (mother), Louise Brown (sister), Lutrill Prince (sister), Luereatha Smith (sister), and Juana Jean Prince (sister).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Reverend Antonio Clinkscales will be delivering the eulogy.
Interment will follow in the Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia.
